2011 - 2012 Calendar of Giving Opportunities
Each year parents and friends are given multiple opportunities to support the mission of Duchesne. Listed below are key dates for you and your family to review as you make your decision on how you would like to support your daughter’s school.
August 2011 Parents Association membership drive
Membership dues are used to support PA activities.
September 2011 The Duchesne Fund solicitation of all current families, alumnae, alumnae families, current and former faculty and staff, grandparents, and current and former trustees.
The goal for The Duchesne Fund is $800,000 and 100% parent participation.
October 2011 “Lights, Camera, Read” Book Fair – October 18 and 19 at Barnes and Nobel Town & Country
Duchesne’s Book Fair benefits the school’s libraries. Books can be purchased and donated to the libraries. A portion of all sales made during Book Fair helps build library collections.
November 2011 “Dream Girls” Mother-Daughter Luncheon – November 19 at the Hotel Intercontinental
Ticket sales and donations offset the expense of this event.
December 2011 Gingerbread House Workshop – December 10
The Duchesne Alumnae Association hosts this annual event for current and alumnae families. Proceeds benefit the Sister Ann Caire Scholarship Fund.
January 2012 Family Fun Bingo Night – January 17
Ticket sales and donations offset the expense of this event.
March 2012 Extravaganza – “It’s a Small World” – March 3 at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston.
Extravaganza, Duchesne’s annual dinner and auction, will honor Sr. Jan Dunn for her lifetime commitment and dedication to the Sacred Heart mission. Funds raised through table and ticket sales, sponsorships, and auction purchases enhance student life at Duchesne.
