Duchesne Academy is a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) league. It competes in Division 6A- District 3, which includes St Pius, St Agnes, Incarnate Word Academy and Kelly Beaumont.

Varsity teams from each sport compete for top honors to represent the District at the State level, at the end of the season. Sub-varsity teams are also offered in many sports to provide the athletes a way to develop and improve their various skills that are required at the varsity level.

In the fall, girls can compete in golf, tennis, field hockey, cross-country and volleyball. Soccer, swimming and basketball are offered for the winter season. Track, golf, tennis and softball are offered for the spring season.

The Athletic Department and College Counselor will assist students who desire to compete at the college-level. In the last few years, some students have broadened their opportunities to attend top colleges and universities through athletics.
