The counselor works in conjunction with the Lower School Head.  Students may, through their teachers, request a meeting with the counselor.  The Head of Lower School, teachers, or parents may refer a student to the counselor or request the counselor to observe a child in class.  Parents are welcome to call or make an appointment with the counselor to discuss concerns they may have about their child.  The counselor is available to attend parent/teacher conferences when requested. She provides information and referrals for families in need of counseling, evaluation, or other appropriate resources outside the school when such direction is sought or seems appropriate.
