Field trips and special days enhance the classroom experience. They are part of the curriculum. Field trips are planned by the classroom teachers with the assistance of the room parents. Chartered bus is the mode of transportation for all school-sponsored field trips. Signed permission slips must be returned to the teacher or a child cannot participate.

Go Texan Day is celebrated in Februrary. The girls wear western costumes to school and the parents are invited to lunch and a short display of western dances.

Field Day is held in the month of April. The studtents are divided into fourteen teams, signified by colors and compromised of members of each class Pre-kindergarten through 4th grade. Fourth graders are the team leaders and take responsibility for their younger team members. Interaction promotes concern for each member of the lower school and encourages children to share their knowledge and gifts with one another. Parents are invited to join the children for lunch and to watch the athletic events.
