The Extend Day program provides a welcome service to Duchesne parents who desire planned before and after-school activities for their children. The program affords a comfortable environment in which each child is able to do what she might enjoy at home; have a snack, read, study, and play with friends. The overall aim of the program is to allow students to make productive use of their before and after-school hours under the careful supervision of an adult staff. Activities include walks, arts and crafts, drama, cooking, free and guided play, quiet study, campus sports, events, stories, music, and movies.

For Parents of Children attending Before School Care

For the safety of your child, please do not leave your child unattended on campus before 7:00 a.m. The buildings are locked and there is no adult supervision for your child. If you arrive on campus with your child before 7:00 a.m., please remain with your child until the Building opens.

Drop off for students attending Before School Care is at the Gymnasium by the Dome.

For Parents of Children attending After School Program

An additional $20.00 late fee will be charged if you child is not picked up by 6:00 p.m.

Pick up for Grades Pre-K through 4:

From 3-4 p.m.—at the Library

From 4-6 p.m. - at the Atrium in the Fine Arts Building

Pick up for Grades 5-8

From 4-6 p.m. - at the cafeteria

HOURS AND COSTS

Mornings

7 to 7:30 a.m. Grades Pre-K through 8 $10 per week, $2 per day Grades 9-12: by special arrangement with Upper School Administration/Faculty

Afternoons

3:10 to 6 p.m. Grades Pre-K through 4 $15 per day, snack included $10 if picked up before 4:30 p.m.

After School Study

4 to 6 p.m. Grades 5 through 8 $5 per hour or part of an hour

Late Fee

Additional $20 for pick-up after 6 p.m.

Fine Arts and Athletics

Separate Fees cover the costs of these activities Supervision fee: $5 per hour when student remains more than 15 minutes after the conclusion of the session
