Why we chose the Toshiba Portege Tablet PC

The Toshiba Tablet PC was chosen for the past two years because of its lightweight and durable design, ability to work for both those who want to type or to handwrite, and because of its good record with other laptop schools who have chosen to implement Tablet PC technology in place of traditional laptops.  We are also having enormous success with support from Toshiba on any problems that arise.

Please take a few minutes to visit the links below, specifically to watch the videos on Cincinnatti Country Day School (CCDS) and Sharon Academy.  As one of the first 20 Pioneer Laptop Schools in America in 1997, CCDS has also chosen to make the switch to Tablet technology for many educational reasons.  It is not because they look cool, but because of the amazing tool that it becomes for our students.  Not only does it offer benefits for different learning styles but it makes the technology more invisible in the classrooms. 

These two school videos speak directly to the various reasons that we were compelled to make the transition to Tablets for our future.  They support what we want for our students; all of the benefits of technology, without it being all about the technology.
