Graduation Requirements
Duchesne's college preparatory academic program in the Upper School is strong and challenging. Students are required to complete the following:
4 credits English
4 credits History (including U.S. History, Government/Economics)
3 credits of Math in the Upper School (4 are encouraged)
3 credits Science (4 beginning with the Class of 2011)
3 credits Foreign Language
2 credits Physical Education and Health
4 credits Religious Studies (including Social Awareness)
1 credit Fine Arts (½ credit speech)
1 credit Computer (½ credit laptop integration)
25 Total Credits Required (26 beginning with the Class of 2011)
A student must earn at least 6.5 credits to be classified as a sophomore, at least 13 credits to be classified as a junior, and at least 19 credits to be classified as a senior. Credit is awarded by semester. Seniors who fail to meet the above requirements may not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.
