Students who have been assigned to study hall because of low grades may be required to limit co-curricular activities. A student with a failing grade will report regularly to her advisor. Together they will analyze her use of time and determine if co-curricular activities should be limited until she has attained a passing average. A student who is failing more than one subject may not participate in after-school athletics or other co-curricular activities as specified by the Head of the Upper School. Participation in certain activities requires a specific GPA: to run for Student Council, a student must have a 2.0 grade point average; to try out for cheerleader, a 2.0 GPA; and to apply to go on exchange to another Sacred Heart School, a 2.7 GPA. Participation in other co-curricular activities, including the athletic program, is also dependent upon academic eligibility.
