  Advisors

In keeping with the Goals of the Sacred Heart to promote community-building and personal growth, the advisory program provides a supportive group for each girl during her upper school years.  When a student enters the Upper School, she is assigned to a faculty advisor and an advisory group of ten to fourteen of her grade-level peers who remain together for four years.    The advisory program affirms that caring for each student—her faith, and her intellectual, emotional, and physical development—is essential to a Sacred Heart education.

Faculty Advisors will.

·         Sit with their advisees at Morning Assembly and take attendance

·         Meet with the group each month at the scheduled Advisory Lunch or Breakfast

·         Review progress reports and report cards and follow-up in helpful ways

·         Attend class meetings, functions and retreats with advisees

·         Work with the Head and Dean of Students to identify and address individual

                    academic or personal concerns.
