In this workshop, students will review essential critical reading and phonetic skills to improve comprehension and fluency. Each day, students will read individually and in level-appropriate groups to exercise specific strategies. These strategies will include: short and long vowels, irregular vowels, blends, comprehension, decoding and sight words depending on the level of the student. This class is specifically designed to enhance your child's foundation in reading, and is perfect for the reluctant reader. This reading course will help your child have a better understanding of reading, create a stronger foundation on which to build and, most importantly, foster the love of reading.

More advanced knitters will either learn how to knit more intricate scarves by adding beads and patterns or another item approved by the instructor.
