Babysitting/CPR Training

Wouldn't you love to be the best babysitter in town? Learn how to babysit from a pro. You will learn how to take care of infants and children up to 12 years old. This class will teach you telephone etiquette for acquiring jobs and how to satisfy clients. This class will also teach you about nutrition for feeding infants and children. You will learn age appropriate activities as well.  CPR and first aid will be taught. Certification will either occur during class or at a Red Cross facility at a time to be announced.

Learn how to sew decorative pillows for your bed, decorate and organize your bedrooms, and many more surprises! We will show the Divas of the past how to do it with style and lots of music to set the mood for a fun and creative class!

Come and learn the secrets of the kitchen! Learn to cook and bake great meals that you can show off at home. This class is designed to create young independent chefs who will become proficient in the kitchen. We will cook recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.  We will also learn different table settings for various occasions and create a cookbook filled with recipes that we make in class.

If you love to act and are interested in doing it this summer, here's your opportunity!  We will learn basic acting principles and apply them to monologues and scenes.  The techniques learned in this class will help you to practice monologues on your own, a useful skill to have when auditioning for school plays and other shows.  Scene work is a fun chance to act with a partner, another important skill to have.  You will have the chance to showcase your growth in a performance of the monologues and scenes at the end of each session (All material worked on in class is age appropriate.) This experience will be exciting and fun, enabling you to improve at a fast pace. See you in class!

If you just gotta dance this summer, then let me help you develop your jazz technique.  Everyday we'll start with a warm-up and stretches that will increase your flexibility, move on to center and across-the-floor exercises to improve your coordination, and end each class with a fun jazz or hip hop routine to put it all together.  The goal of this class is to give you a foundation in jazz dance that will allow you to grow to be a more advanced, confident dancer, and most important, to have FUN while you improve. No shoes are required, unless you already have them and would like to use them.  Wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in.  It's going to be fierce!  See you there!

In Tumbling Stars gymnastics classes we have a tumble-terrific fun time!  Students will participate in all four main events of gymnastics: bars, beam, vault, and floor tumbling. The certified gymnastics coaches also incorporate fun games, challenging partner activities, and present the students with motivational awards on a regular basis.

 

Volleyball

The volleyball workshop will focus on basic volleyball skills. Drills on forearm passing, overhead passing, hitting, blocking, digging and spiking will be emphasized. Students will be able to work with others on the court and in an offensive and defensive system. This workshop will also focus on the competitive aspects of the game.
