Within the framework of the Sacred Heart Goals, a large majority of Duchesne's parents volunteer their time, energy and financial support toward meeting the needs of the school. Parent groups plan and execute events under the direction of the Events Coordinator. Events bring Duchesne ’s family of parents, faculty, students and friends together to build community, while some events raise funds.
• Parents’ Association dues provide funding for the many activities they sponsor.
• Extravaganza is Duchesne’s primary event fundraiser that is coordinated by Parents’ Association volunteers. Duchesne families and friends can donate an auction item, purchase a table or ticket at an Underwriting level, or purchase a business ad. Funds raised help to support key initiatives in Athletics, Fine Arts and Technology.
• The Book Fair benefits the School’s libraries. The purpose of Book Fair is to build strong libraries with books that develop a love of reading in our community as well as strengthen the curriculum at Duchesne. Duchesne families and friends can purchase books and donate them to the library. A percentage of all sales made during Book Fair helps build and enrich the libraries.
• The Booster Club supports all athletic programs. Monies raised last year supported the renovation of the Dome floor in the Lower School, the acquisition of two automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and provided mouth guards to all field hockey, basketball and soccer players.
Friends of the Fine Arts.
• The Friends of the Fine Arts volunteer their time and expertise to enhance the Fine Arts programs at Duchesne.
